On Friday we’ll have Hot Air Balloons, a pie eating contest, an old fashioned ice cream social, inflatables, carnival games, face painting, monster truck rides and much more. The Killer Flamingos will be performing at the Red, White & Brew Stage.

New to the Festival this year is the addition of The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. The whole family can enjoy a day of fantastic, STEAM-based fun and see why this is the Museums most popular program. As the sun sets, guests can enjoy Light the Night. A spectacular Hot Air Balloon Light Show, showcasing four beautifully decorated hot air balloons. Folks young and old will marvel as the beauty of the night starts to light up with artistic, colorful patterns. The rising of the balloons is based on a very basic scientific principle, hot air is lighter than cool air which results in less mass per unit of volume. Science all around!

After the balloons begin to fade, Megamind will come to the big screen. The film opens with a flashback: as two planets are sucked into a black hole, each one sends out a rocket ship carrying an infant boy of that planet. Movies in the park and refreshments will all be part of this evening full of wonder!
